I've been trying to upload SETI results for a day with no luck. I joined the gravity group this AM and that went well but Boinc does not connect with the gravity wave group server. Is Boinc working on the server end? All seems well here. I haven't changed anything. It was working well before yesterday.

Your computer has not yet successfully attached to the Einstein project. (Check here.) This is often indicative of a firewall problem. Your firewall must allow BOINC Manager and boinc.exe to access the internet.
I couldn't get through to SETI for several days, but I figured it was their problem after reading the transfers and messages section on my Boinc. Seems they have a few problems with the server and they also didn't have any work for me for two days when I finally did get through.

I bet it works when you get your first Albert WU,and the risk is high you get it on your next WU.
I see you haven't a new Workunit yet,but I suspect that is because you run other projects as well.

Because you have a slow machine and you run other projects as well and you just finished a einstein unit in 12 days (close to the 14 day deadline)(you maybe have been in EDF mode too) I guess you own time to the other projects now for a while,and therefor Boinc doesn't want to download a WU until the debt is ok for einstein.If you want to check your project debts you can use BoincDV.

I presume you are saying that your screensaver doesn't work with the Albert application (since this thread is titled "screensaver doesn't work"). It could be a problem with your graphics card driver. You should check to see if there is an update available. This link might help.

I get the graphics ok when I hit the "show graqphics" button and if I go into Control Panel and Display Properties I can even get the screensaver to come up as a preview.
However when the screensaver is supposed to come on after the set idle time I get the "Boinc Screensaver is loading" graphics followed by "Boinc is not running - launch Boinc to display graphics"
It seems that the screensaver programme is not recognising that Boinc is running???

In your General Preferences, do you have your "Do work while computer is in use?" pref set to "No"? If so, try changing to "Yes". Read this.
EDIT: If you do change the preference to "Yes", be sure to "Update" Einstein so the change will be loaded into BOINC.

I'm going to have to drop out of Einstein for now. Boinc keeps downloading new work without uploading my finished work. Back to square one...
