Rhubarb or plum crumble, are always acceptable at any table I would say. Does altitude affect pastry making, well there is a question and a half, and a good one at that :-)) Maybe it affects the pastry maker more than the ingredients? The average height above sea level in central London is fairly minimal as London sits in a clay lined basin. But in other countries it may well be different.
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
The arrow referred to is a mouse cursor exactly between the hippo's feet. I'm guessing that 'she' is the hippo...but I could be wrong. I think I've been wrong before, but I could be mistaken.

It's much easier to be wrong when you are mistaken I've found...

But If you settled on wrong on this occasion, Randy - you were wrong :) ... if that helps?
All this talk about baking things has got me thinking of doing pancakes for dinner - savoury first, then sweet! :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
There was nothing flat about my first few attempts by the time I'd finished either, Carlos... those look much better - it's like they've been intentionally made like that.

Possibly... or rear view indicator maybe ? It's a shame because it's quite distracted me from her feet now.
Has Kathryn gone quiet or is that my imagination...? actually quite a few people might have gone quiet... hopefully they're all busy doing fun stuff :)

I could only find two reasonably sized version of that image without the mouse pointer. One of those mentioned the other as the source.
It was likely the source for all other versions of that image, even for the much larger version with the mouse pointer that I found here. Which is likely to simply be a blown up version of the original one I previously linked. Also note that this version has more of the image at the top, bottom and right sides, including a copyright logo. So the one with the mouse pointer is cropped too.
So to give you the likely original in an embed (reduced size, click for full size):

Pancake is Nice too and my kids love those. That would be one day I won't have to convince them that they should eat.

The source of the image is given as https://i.imgur.com/jwshPvV.jpg so it was obviously a "screen grab" by someone and not the original.
