The winner will be the last person that posted, when I have time to check the thread, after one of these events:

- I get tired of ya'll nagging me who is the winner :)

Congrats. WD40 use not known

Congrats.

WD40 use not known by everybody. It gets rid of all that sticky mess left by those labels they stick to new purchases, or the labels you sometimes stick, if you remember that is*, to leftovers you freeze for use when you don't feel like cooking.

*If you don't stick a label on the leftovers, you can be sure x months later, you will find when cleaning/defrosting freezer, several containers with contents unknown.

Hum, don't see anything in

Hum, don't see anything in the rules about double posts buying a round in the Cafe.  Chris' bank account thanks you Jonathan.

Now Mike, as to that escape tunnel, you did know if you pulled the lever the back door opened onto the alley?

And Annie picked an evil even number.

No. But then again I probably don't have the street smarts for that. I'm a sprouts broccoli turnip cabbage patch plague ICBM miscreant child.

Ptooey .... bah ..... did she what ? One hundred ! Talk about hiding in plain sight ! How dare she pick something so blatantly self-evident. I think the number is not to blame here ......

Cheers, Mike.

Agreed, the number was innocent, and possibly truncated. But by common agreement over time, whether stated or not, it has always been custom and practice to not make consecutive posts in the TLPTPW thread.

Of course any winner can modify the rules within the general framework if everyone is happy with that, and fiendish clues are entirely optional.

My drinks account at the bar is in a sinking fund, which is an apt name as it is sinking fast!

How can numbers be to blame.

How can numbers be to blame. The Australian PM has declared that the "Laws of Mathematics" come 2nd to the "Laws of the Land"

“Well the laws of Australia

“Well the laws of Australia prevail in Australia, I can assure you of that.

No pooftahs! (courtesy Monty Python) :-)

The laws of mathematics are very commendable, but the only law that applies in Australia is the law of Australia," he said.

So Mr Turnbull will agree up to a point that 2+2=4 if pushed. Very magnanimous of him :-))

He'll be declaring Pi = 3

He'll be declaring Pi = 3 next, just like Indiana attempted in 1897.
