LOL. Then cringe. So there I was, in the Sunny Thoughts thread, just bagging an executive branch for their massignostupigance* when interfering in the technical areas of electrical grid design. Then we get this clear declaration ( you won't die wondering, will you ? ) of cognitive processes as experienced by Bugalugs.

No wonder that it is said that we have moved from 'Post Modern' to 'Post Truth' .... a culture in which debate is framed largely by appeals to emotion disconnected from the details of policy, and by the repeated assertion of talking points to which factual rebuttals are ignored. Apple pie does not have to be counted as desert, nor do many other things.
So going to some birthday party where a pie is served can be combined with desert, as can an ice cream on a hot day. Having multiple does not have to be unhealthy either, as you could also count fruit as a desert.
Now that I think of it there are quite a few things that could be a desert but do not have to be.
A desert is a rather large sandy area often found in Northern Africa and other parts of the world.
In polite society, the sweet course is after the main meal at luncheon. Dessert is one of the latter courses at the evening dinner, before the cheese and port.

You'd think they'd have got it right by now
At first glance, that appears like it would be useful while standing at the back end of a train going backwards at 30 mph. However, closer examination leads me to wonder if it's sufficiently ventilated A: to keep it clear of fog as soon as the user breathes into it a couple of times (which problem appears to be happening for the young lady on the right and I am quite sure would happen to me even if it doesn't for anyone else), and B: to even breathe in the first place.
New business: I forget; I'll have to go back and review... oh, I remember now.

Chris: by common agreement over time, whether stated or not, it has always been custom and practice to not make consecutive posts in the TLPTPW thread.
Of course any winner can modify the rules within the general framework if everyone is happy with that, and fiendish clues are entirely optional.

And while I'm addressing you, my ear hurts. On Saturday, while I was not at the museum playing with Thomas and Percy and thousands of screaming kids and their parents, I fell flat on my back.* Somehow the greatest resulting pain is in the upper lobe of my right ear, which feels like my glasses tried to rip it off. It is still, three days later, very sensitive to touch on the back side. I'm not asking you for any medical advice (unless there's a danger of serious complication from this that I don't know about); I think it will recover eventually. I just wanted to tell you.

Serious, you should look and see if there is bruise, scab or the like. That would answer why it is still tender although you may have a deep tissue injury. I'm assuming you ear hasn't changed shape such as tearing the cartilage could. As Annie would say, you would think you would notice that.
But the important thing is how are the glasses? Is the frame still straight and square? No scratches or dings on the lenses?
Is the government control receiver still in place? :)
For many decades the control receiver has been implanted at birth and is much like the pets micro chipping device. You don't know you've got one but it reports back everything you do. The NSA know that you had a pee at 15.37pm yesterday, and when you last posted to Seti Politics.
I have no worries about GCHQ knowing my daily business, dunno about you :-))
