My screensaver works when I click "preview" in settings, but when it comes to really start as a screensaver, it first says that it is loading and then goes blank. Isn't there ANY solution?

You could give us something more to work with. Like:
-What kind of computer?
-Which OS?
-What kind of video card?
--How much memory does it have?
--Is it really a card, or an embedded chip on the motherboard?
-Do you use the latest drivers for your video card?
-Do you use the latest DirectX version? (It updates every couple of months)
-Which BOINC version are you using?
-How did you set up your screen saver? (password protected?)
When I ran only Sety@home the screensaver was working normally, but now I have added the project einstein@home and all I can see in the screensaver is a black screen! Does anyone know why and how to fix it? Thanks!
Inge
Hi Inge !
Have the same prob, after changing OS. Screen is black.
I hope it don't takes more then 256MB of RAM to run the ScreenSaver!
No, it takes however much RAM you allocated to the videocard, if it is getting videoRAM from the computer's RAM. Can the video card do OpenGL 1.2? Did you update the video card's drivers?

As far as I know all drivers have been upgraded due to the fact that I just did a clean install of XP and did a check with HP to get all drivers for this PC. I am not sure how much of RAM is used for video... I'll have to check and get back to you.

Please answer the questions that Jord asked. We don't know anything about your computer so it's impossible to tell where to begin troubleshooting.

I have a Compaq Laptop running E@H and the ScreenSaver locks up and stops working.
In order to get control back I have to shutdown/reboot the Laptop.
The Laptop is running XP Home and has 256MB of memory.
My other Laptop that is also running XP Home has no problem. It does have more mem.
I hope it don't takes more then 256MB of RAM to run the ScreenSaver!
Both Laptops are running BOINC 5.4.11. OPT (5.5.0)
