Hi so I just upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7. I have a core i7 3770k with HD4000 graphics and a GTX 780Ti.

Is it possible to run Intel & Nvidia WUs at the same time in Win 10.

I managed this in Win 7 by using Lucid Virtu MVP but thats no longer an option.

I notice while encoding Handbrake that Win 10 seems to have native access to Intel QuickSync which never worked on Win 7. This leads me to hope Win 10 can access the HD4000 iGPU for einstein as well, but somehow I cant get it working.

I have enabled Intel Graphics in the project preferences page.

The event log just says:

Read this thread:

Basically you need the Intel crunching drivers installed, that thread tells you where to get the one that works, not all do!

Boinc isn't detecting the Intel GPU, you'll have to either connect a monitor, or extend the desktop onto it before Boinc will be able to detect it.

Then you can worry about drivers.

As fas as I know we have not

As fas as I know we have not yet established which driver versions are working under Win 10. In a previev version it worked, though, and was even quite a bit faster than under Win 7 & 8.1.

Follow Claggy's advice and please report if it's working.

OK I plugged an old VGA cable

OK I plugged an old VGA cable into my mobo output and attached it in parallel to the DVI cable on the same monitor and I believe I now have both the 780Ti and the HD4000 adaptors active and in extended mode.

Still not getting intel GPU WUs though

Actually scratch that, it

Actually scratch that, it seems to have sorted itself out now, I have some Intel WUs

Good to hear it works

Good to hear it works now!

However, I see you manually aborted two of the
Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Parkes PMPS XT) v1.52 (BRP6-Beta-opencl-intel_gpu)
tasks. These take much longer than the regular
Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo) v1.34 (opencl-intel_gpu)
tasks, but yield a lot more credits and use the GPU more efficiently due to the updated app.

Edit: which driver version are you using for the iGPU? There had been validation problems with previous windows and newer drivers.

And newer iGPUs. I'm running a HD4000 with driver 10.18.10.4061 on Win7 without problems, that driver on a HD4600 would probably run into validation problems.

Right now I'm waiting for a new SSD to be delivered and then I'm planning on upgrading to Win 10, with the info provided by Scalextrix I'm confident things will work fine for me in regards to Boinc.

BE CAREFUL, there are reports of Win10 not liking SSD's some times, hopefully the new updates MS has sent out fix that problem.

I run Boinc on 2 Win10 machines, both are using the cpu's and one of them is using it's gpu for crunching, and neither is having any problems. I do NOT crunch using the Intel igpu though.

I recently upgraded my win 8.1 cruncher to win 10. Machine have only one disk, a Crucial CT240 SSD, and a GTX750ti GPU. No problems so far.

You should be good then, famous last words I know, but the problem seems to be a lack of ssd drivers in the image and a series of constant reboots as Windows can't find a hard drive. Since you are past that you should be okay from that problem.
