Please don't give anything on the claimed credit right now. We're still adjusting parameters; as the granted credit is determined by the server and independent of the claimed credit, the latter is one of our lesser worries.

It is just that S5R3 always had claim == grant, so apparently you're saying you don't have the parameters set to where the claim is up to where the server will grant...

If something had validated already, that would be seen. As it stands, I can't find a validated task...thus I brought it up with caveats...

Seems like granted credit is way higher than claimed. At least for his WU.

Huh, Bernd found some too ;-)

Thanks Bernd, those are about

Thanks Bernd, those are about what we were told and are reasonable. I realize that we are still in transition here and the finer points still need to be worked out.

PS.. Any chance or increasing the font size for us old poor sighted folks a bit in the message bodies?

Thanks...

OK. So you're using claimed credit * 2.92.

very poor credit. My host

very poor credit.
My host spend ~16000sec for 237.53 credit for S5R3
now ~30000sec for 186.4 credit for S5R4
60% reduction.

Golly Gosh. We don't throw people to the dogs around here! Where do you think some of the R4 WU's come from? They are the ground up remains of those that whinged too much during the last run. Look carefully for filenames with this format :

h1_xxx.xx_S5R4__42_S5R4a_SoylentE@H_1

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Well actually I've been in the same 3 projects for a long time. I have been pushing to get to 1 mil credits here and then wanted to concentrate of CPDN and bring them up as well. I think Seti is a lost cause and would take too long.I downloaded one of the Astropulse units over the weekend and it wanted 110 hours to complete. Needless to say it got aborted so that I'd be ready here. also part of the trouble there is that there's a multitude of optimized clients and when it pairs with a standard app like I was using the optimized AP turned into a ghost unit. I wsn't anywhere near wanting to wait 3 months for credit. It's one thing to wait 3 months at CPDN and get trickles everyday, its entirely different when you are waiting for someone(s) to finish one of those monster wu before getting any credit.

PS sorry for all the editing but the font is so small I can't tell what the words are.

I've completed a couple of

I've completed a couple of S5R4 WUs now and verified they were run on the SSE .exe for Windows. My systems are all AMDs and seem to be awfully slow for an SSE app.

I'm wondering if we're encountering the AMD penalty again. Can anyone check?

Seti Classic Final Total: 11446 WU.

What's your actual slowdown, %age wise? I'm seeing less than, but close to, double on Intels.
