Oh, I'm sorry.. I saw "Validate state Invalid" and I thought it was a validation error. Thanks for help.

Another Validate error of

Another Validate error of mine to report:

http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/86643683

and two i'm paired with:

http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/88004098
http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/88004095

Do the Validate error tasks get checked again by the Validator prior to deleting and purging?,

I am getting a lot of

I am getting a lot of validation errors all of a sudden. It looks like it's been going on for 2-3 weeks. Roughly 1/3 of results are listed as valiodation error and some as computation error. My work unit output is steadily declining from about 3000 per day to 2100. My I7 860 8 gig system is running fine no problems. I think that if it were a problem with my system it would crash and lock up. I have also noticed a decline in SETI@home and Rosetta@home. Is this a widespread problem?

SETI@home is down, until they put on line the newly bought servers, Oscar and Carolyn. Don't know about Rosetta, but my other projects (QMC, AQUA,CPDN) are running fine. Also Einstein gives me no problem, but I have no GPU.

As for the GW search you got errors reading the data files, which is most likely a harddisk problem, or less likely a problem with your memory or CPU.
For ABP2 I only see CUDA errors, that might be related to your driver or sth, or could the same problem as with the GW search.

Start with a disk check.

Thank you Bernd and Tullio

Thank you Bernd and Tullio for you replies. I have 3 hardrives on my I7 system. The 2 that store the project files are also handling the system and are in a mirror RAID configuration. I'll run a chkdsk and let you how it goes. Could Norton Security Suite be interfering some how?

I've been attached to these projects for several years and SETI for many years and so I appologise for my lack of in-depth knowledge as to how these projects work, but what do the abbreviations; GW search, sth and ABP2 mean?

I would say that right now I am getting 80-90% validation errors of all the work units I have processed. I am very disappointed. I updated the driver to my video cards about 2 weeks ago. Supposedly one of the fixes was an improvement in CUDA performance in SLI mode.

GW is the search for

Message 83284 in response to message 83283

GW is the search for gravitational waves on data from the LIGO observatories.ABP2 is the search for pulsars on data from the Arecibo radiotelescope, the same giving data to SETI@home. But Einstein has announced the next arrival of data from the Parkes radiotelescope in Australia, which scans the southern sky, which Arecibo and also other radiotelescopes in the northern hemisphere cannot cover. This is a big step forward.

I did a chkdsk on my C drive and it was clean. I noticed that my motherboard was running my memory at 1.80 volts but the factory spec voltage is 1.65 so I turned it down. The computer is running fine. I don't think I'm having a hardware problem. Any other ideas as to what I might do to get back to having valid results?

In the list of Error tasks

Message 83286 in response to message 83285

In the list of Error tasks for computer 2805803 is not a single Validate error! So, please open a new thread.

The erroneous tasks either have download errors (including "Starting frequency 1291.978874 not contained in SFT '..\..\projects\einstein.phys.uwm.edu\h1_1292.50_S5R4 : 3839703473664' (or sequence broken at this last file)") or Access Violation or Unknown [0xC00002B5] Exception errors, which could be caused by defective input data.

So, the first thing to do for you would be to get the downloads error free.

Gruß,
Gundolf

My computer is having

My computer is having problems to complete the calculation works.
The system becomes unestable about four hours of calculation, and all the works finish with a 'calculation error' validation.

I don't know wat is happening. Any idea about it?.

Many thanks.
