Another Validate

Another Validate error:

http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/87188475

Some of the uploads for this workunit took several attempts to upload before going through,
it then wasn't reported for another half hour,

This one has certainly made the rounds:

19 errors and I don't have high hopes for the poor machine currently working on it.

Since the 22 Nov outage I

Since the 22 Nov outage I have noticed that I no longer receive credit for anything. Coincidence, or problem that has yet to be resolved?

It's just an incorrect observation on your part :-).

I just went through your tasks list on the website and from Nov 23 onwards, your host has returned around 100 tasks of which around 70 have been granted credit and around 30 are listed as 'pending' - ie awaiting the return of the copy of the task sent to your wingman. All this is perfectly normal.

Can you tell us why you think you're not receiving credit when, for example, this page shows plenty of completed tasks with credit awarded.

There is one other thing you might like to consider. You have a fast multicore host with a relatively slow GPU. Some of your ABP2 tasks are using a CPU core only and some are using a CPU + GPU combination. Your CPU only tasks are taking around 16Ksecs to complete. Your CPU + GPU tasks are taking around 21Ksecs. You are actually slowing down considerably, the output of your machine by allowing the GPU to be used for crunching the Arecibo pulsar data.

Cheers,
Gary.

As I'm sure that you know

As I'm sure that you know much more than I do about this you are very probably correct.
Another alternative is just detach and find something that WILL work correctly on my i7, 8 gig system.

Will try again another year.
Thanks

I made the link active, and here is the link to the result.

You could try a (forum or google) search for "process got signal 11".

(And it's no validate error;-)

Gundolf
