Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think that you have to enable ACPI in the bios, Something about "hal" (hardware application layer). Note: I've never owned a processor that had H/T capabilities, so I'm just giving advice that I thought I remembered seeing others give.
Big chance those P4s dont have HT, some of the newer Northwoods had it but far from all. Galatin and most Prescotts had HT as standard.

Yeah, I think that's right! And your kernel should also support ACPI.
I haven't been active on the forums for awhile, but just wanted to say great job to the project leaders and developers. Keep up the good work.
Oh, and I finally made it to 1,000,000 credits :-)
There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers. - Richard Feynman
Have passed 650,000 in Einstein and aiming for 750,000.
Passed 70,000 in MilkyWay and aiming for 100,000.
Passed 300,000 in Cosmology and aiming for 400,000.

Yea, in that case they definitely do not have HT - I know the BIOS settings on all the systems inside out.
Remember, these are 6+ year old systems.

My V8 Host hit >10k rac (10,179.74) thanks to app 4.33. It may not stay that high though. I think it is just a surge spike.
