Yes, Bikeman. I think we all should agree with you. I've already broke 2 million mark exclusively for Einstein@home and everyday try to raise my perfomance rate higher and higher. I think most of us do upgrade our PC's, buy new ones and of course install E@H there. I'll be glad to bet that we can complete current run even at the end of this summer. So... let's try!
You should consider enabling Hyperthreading for your Pentium 4s. Of course individual E@H tasks will take longer, but you can work on two in parallel. Overall, there seems to be a productivity boost with Hyperthreading on most P4s. With that, you should be able to match my RAC pretty easily.
How do you enable hyperthreading? I've been an AMD man for awhile now, so I don't know about those things.
Plus I still have a half dozen low end P3s to throw into the mix. And I think I just worked out the farm's bugs, so I figure I'll be getting 5k RAC once things get up to speed. Hell, a handful of the powerful systems was floating the RAC at 4k almost completely independent of the farm while I was fiddling/ignoring things.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think that you have to enable ACPI in the bios, Something about "hal" (hardware application layer). Note: I've never owned a processor that had H/T capabilities, so I'm just giving advice that I thought I remembered seeing others give.

Wow, impressive farm!

Happy crunching!

RE: How do you enable
Good question :-), I suppose there is a BIOS setting that would enable/disable this feature.
But your Linux kernel also has to support this, but if you are using a recent off-the shelf kernel, that should not be an issue.
