There are four kids A B C and D playing soccer in the garden...
If what A said is true, then what B said is true too, so what A said can't be true (if only one told the truth)
If what C said is true, then B broke the window (since what B said isn't true)
If what B said is true, then what either A or C said must be also true, so what B said can't be true
If what D said is true, then what B said is also true, so what D said can't be true
So it looks like C told the truth (if only one of them did), which means that B broke the window.
Here are some riddles a little less logic-intensive while waiting for some more of the good ones. The riddle for each of the pictures is to identify the item as specifically as you can. Not sure how to do scoring, but more points for specificity/accuracy. There are 6 items, 7 riddles, and the 7th riddle is this: 2 of the pictures are of the same item, which 2? (pls click on the thumbnails for the full size pics, small-size your answers, thx!)
Good enough, it's a metal ore, but not the same type as #6
Quote:
2. A nebula which I am unable to identify
Good try but nope, see answer to #7
Quote:
3. (Resolution is poor) A bad solder joint (Maybe)
Hmm, it is solder... the joint was okay, this was a molten blob during the soldering that dropped off, splotched and solidified in that shape...

4. A thin slice of Mica
Well, I'm not a geologist and I'm sure there's some mica in there, along with mostly quartz and feldspar; it's just small granite rock. See also answer to #7
Quote:
5.A underwater formation of corral.
Wow, that's an amazing answer, it does kinda look like that; it's actually a closeup of the end-grain of a 2x6 pine board.

6.Maybe a bundle up bunch of aluminum foil :-)
Nope, this is also a metal ore, but not the same type as #1
7. [Which two are pictures of the same item?]
#2 is the same item as #4; used some backlighting...
You won that one Rod, fine effort despite the cam's not-very-good resolution, hopefully someone will post some more regular riddles, I will if I run across any good ones...
I came across a riddle that supposedly Albert Einstein wrote early in the last century and claimed that 98% of the world population would not be able to solve it.
It doesn't use word play, just logic. If you believe you have the answer, post your answer in BBCode tagged to size 2 so it won't spoil it for others. ______________________________________________________
