Take a look at this guy's mug

Take a look at this guy's mug shot. Surely enough to discourage anyone. Brain damage city - population - him.

Those who don’t build must burn. It’s as old as history and juvenile delinquents.

Would that be an Ovaltine using whisky instead of milk?
Hmmm. Interesting!

Recently I found out from an elderly Scottish friend of mine about a 'Staircase Shandy'. This is where you mix methylated spirits with milk and then bubble methane through it. Then you drink it!
The idea came from the Great Depression ( that's in last century/millenium for you young un's ), when no one had much money. The milk was the most expensive bit, the metho bought from a hardware store, and the methane gas came from the 'coal' gas piped in to the 'council' estates to the 'common' lighting fixtures. You had to pay for the gas used ( metered ) in your own flat but on the staircases the lighting was provided for by the council ie. free to the beneficiaries. Get a tube of some sort attach it to the lamp then bubble away. Alas many tragedies ensued from this highly dangerous behaviour. So 'chroming' isn't that new at all!
Cheers, Mike.

Thanks Mike that sounds like a very interesting drink.
But seeing as we dont use "coal gas" any more I started wondering where to get the methane from.
Anyway I came up with a simple solution - Get a cow - Milk and methane from a single source!
Hmmm should be very tasty.

I should add that whatever risk there was in the drinking of it, that was dwarfed by the fire/explosion hazard of producing it! Staircase Shandies were seen to be anti-social really.
Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

But Soap Opera's are easier to turn off.
I never watch the soap opera's but they have to be better than reading the flams at the SETI boards.

Ah, you must have missed the bit where Captain Avatar discovered that he was John Clark's long lost daughter and John Hunt ran off with Misfit to dedicate themselves to their dream of becoming world class figure skating champions. However, things went terribly wrong after an evil plan concocted by Keith Stanley to defraud the Christmas cake sale ended with the accidental poisoning of a whole flock of sheep. Things will never be the same in Ambridge again....

Guess I will have to watch for the rerun of that one. Did they say when that would be yet.

It wasn't the whole flock, I managed to save Flossie....
