I did have a home to come to after the mandatory fire evacuation order yesterday.  Eaton fire.

Just learned about Santa Ana

Just learned about Santa Ana winds in California. Such phenomenon is unknown to us in Central Europe where strong winds originate offshore, thus increase humidity.

Yup it happens when they suck the tanks dry and then refill them the new water coming in stirs up all the stuff that has settles out  since the last time it ran dry. Same thing if you ever see people flushing the fire hydrants, do NOT wash your clothes for a day or two to let everyone else get the stuff out of the lines for you.
