Los Angeles, I like Sunday for January: Sunny, with a high near 74. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon. Sunday Night:Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

I visited Long Beach, CA (suburb of Los Angeles) several years ago over Xmas time and I can testify to what Gary said.  On Xmas Day people were mowing their grass lawns, tending their flower beds, and lounging near the beaches.  It is a beautiful climate, but I wouldn't live there because of the high cost of living and the political climate.

From my News Feed :

Winter storm crossing through Kansas has closed Interstate 70 west of the Manhattan exit, as freezing rain is falling across the area.

Parts of Topeka and Shawnee County started seeing sleet early Saturday afternoon, with forecasters predicting the Topeka area could accumulate up to a foot of snow before the blizzard-like conditions end Monday morning.

They have upped it to a Blizzard warning.

As of 3:30 am there is enough ice down to make it very hazardous to drive. But nominal snow.

Sounds like it's time to open the window a crack and increase your output a little bit as you have alot of natural cooling.

Granted. Except I already sold my most powerful electric heater. So it would just drive my Natural Gas bill up instead.
