I spent years building a model Bentley with parts from a magazine but missed the edition which included the driver. All that time and effort and nothing to chauffeur it.

Men spent the first nine months trying to find a way out,  Then they get swatted on their butt and spend the rest of their life trying to find a way back in.

Not a joke, but a funny true

Not a joke, but a funny true story:

20 or 25 years ago when I was climbing towers for a living, the city was building a new convention center downtown. One of the center bosses woke up one day a week before their first event and realized, "Oops, we haven't ordered internet service."

They called the company I was subbing for and we dropped everything to go wire up the convention center with 11 wifi access points. Mind you, the finishing touches of paint, ceiling panels, and such were being done before opening day.

We were climbing up on 20 ft stepladders and removing panels that had just been installed. The other workers were NOT happy! We were trying to route cables around duct work and everything else in a ceiling cavity that can get in your way. It was slow going and we thought we might not get done in time.

Some days into this, a painter walks up to us and asks if we would like an easier way to run those cables. We kinda blew him off because he was a painter. What the heck did he know?

The next day he shows up with a friend in tow as his helper to show us an easier way. Yeah right. So we got off the ladders and told them to go for it, show us. So his buddy goes and climbs a ladder some 30 feet away and he slowly carefully climbs the ladder next to us, dragging a cable up with him.

At the top he carefully unzips his jacket and pulls out about a 2 lbs. chihuahua and puts him up in the ceiling, ties a cable to his collar and yells ok to his buddy. His buddy whistled and that dog took off running thru the ceiling pulling that cable with him.

Lesson learned and beers were bought for helping us get done on time.
