The forecast temperature/heat index for this weekend in my neck of the woods could be summarized as "scorching" or even worse than earlier this week (take your pick).
The forecast for after the weekend shows it "slightly" cooler but the Heat Dome continues.
I think I will install another AC today.

Sounds like a plan, when it cools you can always save it for next time or donate it and buy another one when needed.
We have now had enough rain to get assorted local flood warnings/watches in North East Kansas, USA.
Today (Wed, July 2, 2024) We are starting out with Heat Warning with up to 108F heat index. And around 4pm more rain. With temperatures falling.
Well, at least we aren't getting a Hurricane (around here).
