I couldn't partake as I know next to nothing about football (Being European another game comes to mind even), but if you can't talk sports in a bar, its not a real bar.
I have a large download underway. But it keeps flipping to "retry". So there is some kind of issue.
From what I can see I am getting both the African Rainfall Project and OPIN19 tasks. CPU only (as requested, I think).

You said "virtual servers network" does that mean that they don't have "real" Servers and therefore will never be anything like they used to be?
That is the wording they have been using in their forum posts. I would imagine they would need to have one or more PHYSICAL server to host the virtual servers they talk about.
Now days one physical server can host many virtual machines/servers
I missed your message, Richard! But yes, I was assuming the question was regarding Rugby football and in Europe (afaik) the word football is exclusively used for, well, soccer.

Yes but they are all still sharing the same resources within that 'physical server' so that seems like a way to cut costs but not be nearly as robust and able to handle problems
Exactly, and that's possible why they are experiencing "server bandwidth overload" and I suspect IBM didn't tell them how big of a "internet pipe" they really need to run the project.

Or their system is experiencing a long covid-19 recovery? :)

We have two Microsoft Windows boxes in the top 10 at e@h.
In a further development one is running Radeon gpus.
For a while Nvidia gpus have been the most visible producers at e@h top 50 list.
It is good to see more representation of two minorities. :)

WCG is still beta and the downloads are overloading and straining the virtual servers network capabilities.
If you have the time to micromanage you can keep hitting the retry button when download stall, else just let BOINC automatically retry.
