netty is a Geordie word for an outside toilet.

In the USA we use the word outhouse because it's out of the main house. There are ALOT of people in the USA that still use them today and some even in the big cities that just don't have the cash to connect to the main sewer line. We had one guy in his 70's living next door to a fire station still using one, half million dollar homes all around him and he STILL used an outhouse. The fire dept paid to hook him up to the main sewer line and to get his payments deferred until his heirs sold his lot once he died, that was over 15 years ago and he's still kicking!! His home is in VERY bad shape and the local firemen go by periodically to do any needed repairs etc with materials paid for by the fire department itself. Once he dies the home will be sold as is to someone who will build a very nice 3/4 million dollar home on the lot and make money off of it!!

I somehow managed to take until now to learn the difference between a gear wheel and a sprocket. Then again, having moved from working for a multinational to a local company has taken away many opportunities to use English on a daily basis. That isn't helping. Long live Einstein!

Thank you very much!! It's been 3 days since my surgery and today was ALOT easier to move around than any of the previous days. I am doing my exercises and today I could walk around the house without stopping every step that made it alot easier to get around!!!
