No browser right click menu for paste appears. Only a small blue help bubble to use CTRL-V to paste.
Oh for crying out loud!!! So I add my sig just like yours, and now I've been told off in the lounge (of all places, just a chat room, nothing seriously technical) of the main Boinc forum for "boasting". I pay for the electricity to provide the computing power, people should respect that or I'll go off and do something else with it.
If this page takes an hour to load, reduce posts per page to 20 in your settings, then the tinpot 486 Einstein uses can handle it.
Are you using the 'paste' icon that has the tooltip "paste as plain text" to remove formatting from stuff you want to paste inside code tags? That seems to work fine for me. I haven't actually tried it in the new version of the message composition box yet but I imagine it will still work the same as (or better than) previously.</p>
yup still formating in code tags (making hyperlinks). that's not right. the code tags should strip or disallow any other formating, IMO. but this is all pretty off-topic for this thread.
Yet Asteroidshome, Milkyway@home, GPUGRID GPU tasks all run successfully. But I still have a 1050 Ti board with 4 GB. I migh try that one.

Observe the GPU memory usage in MSI Afterburner or GPU-Z. If that's hitting the top, that's the problem. Although they didn't make mine fail, it just used system RAM aswell and went much slower.

My system RAM is 24 GB and, according to the Omen Command Center of HP is used 70% with eight Einstein@home CPU tasks running on the Ryzen 5 1400 CPU and one Asteroids@home GPU task on the GTX 1060 board. Fans are very quiet.

He's talking about GPU memory usage (the memory on the video card), not the system memory. you need to use a program like GPU-Z or MSI Afterburner to see that.

I can't even edit that post to try and fix the format of the first [code] block without it breaking even more lol.

They all fail on my Windows 10 PC with GTX 1060, while gamma ray pulsar search tasks work fine.

OK: Installed GPU-Z. Asteroids@home GPU task uses 739 MB, GPU usage 100%.
