Well, let's put it this way: Running out of GPU work is an unintended situation that we are working on to fix. Unfortunately the unsuccessful FGRP pre-processing turned out to be one of many symptoms of a much larger problem affecting our whole computing cluster ("Atlas"), that is not that easy to fix. We'll keep working on it.
C'est la vie! I'm just happy that discoveries continue to be made. I don't particularly mind who makes the 'find'. I'd be much more disheartened if nothing was being found.
I o agree with that Gary since.......well if not that would really make us wonder why we have been doing this since 2005 24/7 with as many computers and GPU cards we can get away with at our homes
BUT.........I also wouldn't mind if we found several more on *our* computers.......since the wife thinks Cern and the Einstein Projects are looking for space ships and space aliens (I retired from seti in 2004)
Well I guess this is why I have plenty of GPU tasks on at least the 660Ti so when we run out here I still have work to do here (I imagine you do too) but will be watching for the next version so I can keep going without taking a GPU break and maybe even tempted to fire up a few of my other GPU's (always liked that older version that ran on just GPU if we wanted then to so I could also run those Cern CPU tasks at the same time.)
Always good to see the *2005* members still here Gary.
