wow.  You people are quite

wow.  You people are quite chatty these days.  I'm the lone democrat in a family of republicans.  Imagine how much fun that was on election day.

Oh well.  No need to dwell on it.  What's done is done.

*waves hello to everyone*

Oh yes.  I win too.  And I'll have a rum and coke from the bar with a side of my rum balls.

Mike, because he was closest to the solution of my riddle.

In your RN response you had the seperator wrong, it was in fact wN, leaving you with 8 bit 'words' that can be translated to ASCII by stating that the N = 0 and R = 1.

That translates to UR L33t! (You are elite!)

That was however not the way I got the code.
It was generated here.

First I converted to binary, then to hex, then to base64 and finally rot13.

So to get back from:

Quote:
ZmNtZmRtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmRtZwNtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmNtZwNtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmNtZmNtZmNtZmNtZwNtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmRtZmNtZmNtZwNtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmRtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmRtZwNtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmRtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmRtZwNtZmNtZmRtZmRtZmRtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmNtZwNtZmNtZmNtZmRtZmNtZmNtZmNtZmNtZmR

you convert from rot13 and get:

Quote:
MzAgMzEgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzEgMjAgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzAgMjAgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzAgMzAgMzAgMzAgMjAgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzEgMzAgMzAgMjAgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzEgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzEgMjAgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzEgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzEgMjAgMzAgMzEgMzEgMzEgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzAgMjAgMzAgMzAgMzEgMzAgMzAgMzAgMzAgMzE

Convert that from base64 and get:

Quote:
30 31 30 31 30 31 30 31 20 30 31 30 31 30 30 31 30 20 30 30 31 30 30 30 30 30 20 30 31 30 30 31 31 30 30 20 30 30 31 31 30 30 31 31 20 30 30 31 31 30 30 31 31 20 30 31 31 31 30 31 30 30 20 30 30 31 30 30 30 30 31

Convert that from hex and you get:

Quote:
01010101 01010010 00100000 01001100 00110011 00110011 01110100 00100001

Convert that from binary and you get:

Quote:
UR L33t!

I figured that if you could decode this, you will probably know what l33tsp34k is.

So congrats Mike!

It seems to be linking

It seems to be linking correctly for me, Jonathan. It's where he put this:

Quote:

 10101010        01010101  U   <----------------------------- oh...
 10101101        01010010  R   <----------------------
 11011111        00100000  (space) <-------- !!
 10110011        01001100  L   <----
 11001100        00110011  3
 11001100        00110011  3    <--- WELL!
 10001011        01110100  t
11011110        00100001  !     <---------------------- we missed that last column completely, didn't we, anniet!? Yes. anniet. we did, still there's no need for anyone else to know...

decide if ASCII or EBCDIC and read message

...  except the bits in red. They're my thoughts. You can ignore them... :)

Good evening everyone :) I can't remember if I thanked Chris for my drink now. Might have to do an edit if I have...n't

Told you. (It started up there if anyone's wondering) Thank you for my drink! I usually have the banana with its skin off but I'd rather not upset our island customs, so I'll just gnaw on it as it is :)

Oh.

That's not reading right either. It should have read haven't but it hasn't, people...

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Whoa ? I wun ! multi-LOL

Whoa ? I wun ! multi-LOL :-)))

Creaking sounds ..... cranium swells ...... scalp stretches ..... ears flap, eyes pop ..... hairs fly out ..... FOOOMMP ! Head explodes, brains all over desk. Oh well. Just use the Jiffy Wipes. No one will notice.

'wN' as a separator token wuz a naughty .... I just used an 'entropic' approach ie. information is any difference that makes a difference. Sadly I know little of this leetspeak. I couldn't tweet, text etc to save my own life. :-)

Crikey mate I'll have to fire up a new thread etc. Talk amongst yourselves until I work that out.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Link does seem to not take you to message 158551, which right now in 9 pages back.

Must be a bug your code introduced to the forum.

I usually have the banana

I usually have the banana with its skin off but I'd rather not upset our island customs, so I'll just gnaw on it as it is :)

Ah well you see, on this island bananas come pre-packaged in a protective covering, so they remain fresh until the end user chooses to eat them. If I had peeled it for you it wouldn't have been what I just said when you did. :-))
