Does anyone know how you go about finding out if someone you don't have any contact details for and who is in another country, is okay? I sort of need to find out so that I can either rule in, or rule out, the very real possibility that I've gone mad. Thank you.
use the google search engine and enter "search for a person in the {your friends country}". this may produce ways of locating a person in that country. in the US for example you could use the telephone "white pages" as one way to locate someone. Mileage will vary.

If it is a setizen, look up their friends list, one of them might know. If it is a person outside of the online community, try the British Embassy in their country, or indeed their embassy in London. The Foreign Office have ways of finding people.
Always assuming of course that the person wants to be contacted.

rode a Metra North Central Service train to the end of the line. Seems he thought it would be a good place to start looking for some of these
