No I have not. I suppose this is your way of correcting my location of the Boeing plant - Everett. Thank you for pointing this out. I miss spoke.

The only thing I have ever seen a printer do is spit out a piece of paper with a picture on it or a bunch of text.........and eat lots of money wanting more ink.

How about a 3D disc burner?

Many of the 3d printers that are available for home use are still in the "toy" stage, but I feel that this will be changing for "additive manufacturing".

Sounds like you must have been questioned a few times today since you came up with that.

I asked because I have lived here since 1958 and if I was going to "correct" you I would have said Boeing has plants on the west and east plants in the US

And the original and oldest is in Renton where I lived from 1963 until 1968 where it was next to Puget Sound Power & Light where my Dad and grandfather both worked until they retired.

The Everett plant was where that Boeing family bought even more property at Paine Field aka the Snohomish County airport where my Dad lived for 50 years.

Boeing does a lot more than build airplanes http://www.boeing.com/

Over here on the Olympic Peninsula where I have lived since 1971 Granny Boeing was my neighbor until she passed away and I went to her house a couple times when I was a teenager.

The Boeing museum is in Mukilteo, Wash

I never really looked at the Everett plant before since I haven't been there for a couple decades and to me Renton is Boeing to me.

But they do lots there at the Everett plant these days and almost moved the entire plant to Charlotte N.C. because Washington State is a left-wing loon State that taxes the hell out of all the businesses so they can give that to the lazy do nothing weed smokers we have who tricked stupid voters into believing it was medical.

LMAO.......hey you asked for this reply and I am not the type that even likes getting into something like this and in fact rarely even replies here.

In fact before this I didn't consider YOU to be the way you just showed me.

All I was wondering is if you ever been here in the NW since I have lived here for 57 years.

Anyway.......now I will watch the thursday night football game and let you think about it.

Well a friend of mine's son

Well a friend of mine's son is studying architecture and the industry is already looking into the possibilities 3D printing holds for building - so someone is imagining it, robl :)

When I was visiting universities with my son a couple of years ago, we were shown the work one of the students at the London Met had done over the previous summer, which was to link a 3D printer to solar panels and use it in the Sahara to "print" glass bowls direct from the surrounding sand, which I thought was pretty cool :)

@MAGIC :) I'm not convinced the medical uses of cannabis are a con. I have a friend who suffers crippling pain from fibromyalgia and became wheelchairbound in her late thirties due to it. When she is able to smoke the stuff, which is not often, she is at least able to move around, albeit with the use of crutches, without too much pain for a few hours, and with a smile - which is nice to see :)

EDIT: It could be a psychosomatic benefit she is getting from it I suppose, who knows :)

another edit: This time to say hello to everybody :) and to look sadly at the cluster balloons I wasted money on for David's present *siiiiiiiiiigh*

I suppose I should have waited till I knew it was the helicopter flying lesson you preferred...

:)

Never mind... *start strapping anniet to garden chair...*

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Jay Leno also drove a 3D printed CAR lately on one of his shows!! It worked just fine, it has very high hp to weight ratio so goes like stink!! And yes it's street legal.
