As it seems I had the ATI Driver problem. 0.03 fixed it!
Now I can see the Graphics and the Screensaver too. :-)

:( It looks like it still doesn't work for an Intel 82865G Graphics Controller (built-in video for an HP Compaq)

Below are the specs from the driver:

As Walt Gribben has suggested, I should disable the screensaver and don't run graphics for now (read here)

hallo, I made a funny

hallo,

I made a funny observation:

BOINC 4.45 and E@H 0.03 (shared user installation) show the screensaver until the 1st time I lock my computer. After unlocking, there's the BOINC-logo. Sometimes -maybe some hours after the last locking- the normal screensaver re-apears...

I'm using WIN XP Professional, Version 2002, SP2, and I've a RADEON 9200 SERIES grafic card:
Chip: RADEON 9250 AGP (0x5960)
DAC: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Memory: 128 MB
Bios: BK-ATI VER008.015.033.000

hallo

I think I found an explanation for the observation:

E@H got a new workunit. That's why the screensaver is working again.

Somehow, the information about a locked PC gets lost in the process of sending a result and receiving a new WU... funny

The Boinc Logo is normally

The Boinc Logo is normally hidden by the screensaver graphics, so if you see it, it means that for some reason the graphics couln't be opened. So it seems on your machine the graphics can only be opened once until the App is restarted (for the next Result). This might well be related to a bug Walt Gribben found lately in the BOINC library. It will take some time to get it fixed and have a new App ready, though. Sorry.

I would like to update my situation. I have been running einstein successfully for over a month now and recently tried again with climpred. I am happy to say that all 3 are now running beautifully with this 4.45. one happy user! :)

In addition to the version

In addition to the version numbers, it would be nice if the "test version" page, http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/app_test.php, also showed the version date.

Recently upgraded my

Recently upgraded my motherboard and no longer have on-board graphics. Fitted an ATI (Sapphire) Radeon 9250 graphics card and initially lost the ability to "Show Graphics" on E@H with BOINC 4.45. Now been trying E@H 0.03 for a few days and everything seems fine again. No significant change in WU times either. However, only use "blank" screensaver, so cannot comment on this feature. (P4 2.5GHz, 1GB RAM, XP Home Edition SP2).
