I expect there are other firms that make them, and likely in different sizes. The whole point is to keep it dry and clean until it heals. Just be inventive, use one of the fingers or thumb from a kitchen stretchy rubber glove. And no pics thank you.
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
We call them finger cots. However there is another ..... err ..... latex based product ( which has a totally different purpose ) that may be used also. Size, as always, matters here. :-))
Cheers, Mike.
( edit ) Ditto ie. and no pics thank you.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

That's an idea. Appropriate too, given the way the bandage bulges out at the end of the finger. Those things do tend to be a bit slippery/slimy, though. And then there's the problem of getting it to stay put.
P.S. Come on, Mike. You're a doctor. You shouldn't mind seeing this. The rest of you might not like it, though. Although it's really not that gross. (But I'm still quite happy I didn't watch the work being done.)

We did ask nicely for no pics, but apparently to no avail. See ya next week when hopefully the tone of the proceedings will have been raised back to its previous level.

I don't see any pics - just links, which you can choose to click or not at your own free will. I've chosen not to.
Oh dear. I looked .... swoons and calls for brandy .... stat !! :-)
I guess the gag has to be : you should have seen it before the surgery ..... or ..... you should see my other hand .... or .... the surgeon made it to match hers .... or ..... blame Scotty, he beamed me up ... or .... I can't believe I paid for that ..... or .... you really do have to settle up before you leave the Bellagio .... or ...... I only wanted to validate my parking ticket .... or ....
Cheers, Mike.

Quick a waft of Sal Volatile for the good gentleman. I had to look stat up. Every medical drama there ever has been uses that phrase. "stat" is short for the Latin Statim, which means immediately. They could just say NOW! But doesn't sound as dramatic to a Director. Although the Hippocratic Corpus was written in Ionic Greek, Latin is much more descriptive and has the ability to use prefixes and suffixes with many roots, so is used extensively in medicine.
Don't you all feel better for knowing that??
And in any case Sid James gave a much better performance in Don't Lose Your Head, as Sir Rodney Ffing the Black Fingernail.
I couldn't let that one go, but no more until next week.
