Was that a rasher statement from Dr. Bacon?

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Why do doctors have to practice?

.......... I want to go

..........

I want to go home and crawl into my recliner and go to sleep and not wake up until 0545 tomorrow. Instead, I'm working late so the boss can go to the dr. Then I'm going to the dr. So I repeat:

..........

Can I have a glass of what David's apparently on please :-)

I'm not sharing the acetaminophen with codeine the dermatologist gave me after cutting my fingernail open yesterday. The good news is that so far I haven't had to take any, so I can save it in case I really need it in the future. (Anyway, as you may (or may prefer not to) remember, opioids give me severe inactivity in the euphemism, so I avoid them when I can.) I've already had to go to the school nurse and have her redo the bandage around it. The original was wet and had slipped off the end of the finger. That was when I got my first really good look at it.

She said she was going to lift up the nail and take samples for biopsy from under it. It looks more like she cut away the entire half of it that was thick and white instead of the normal translucent. If that's the case, I hope it grows back normal. The samples will be tested for cancer and fungus, expecting both to be negative. I've been treating it for fungus for years with no effect. The worst part of the whole procedure was actually the injections of anesthetic all around the base of the finger, including in the web. She let it sit for a while, and after that all I felt was one more injection under the nail. Nothing else she did hurt.

Anyway, right now I'm just on ibuprofen. It's aching/throbbing just a teeny bit, probably from the bandage being a tad too tight. I might have her redo it again before the end of the day. Keeping it dry is my biggest problem.

I have stopped having these petechia things since I stopped working with the burn patients i mean sitting their watching some surging cutting open my finger was nothing if not annoying but acetaminophen is dangerous have you had your liver checked recently? CDC is recommending against opeiods to so if you can get some hold on to them

A what?

I did not have the nurse redo it, but her wrap also slipped off the end by evening. I redid it myself, then redid it again after my shower this morning. Now it's slipping off again and I'm about to go back to the nurse.

As I said at Seti, if you're very lucky I won't post the picture of it unwrapped.

That particular product would not fit over the large blob of bandage.

The nurse suggested putting a plastic bag over it, which I tried once. It does not make things easy, though.
