Hi ZS ! :-) RE: So

Hi ZS ! :-)

So what have i missed?

Hmmmm .... since June last year ? Well, we rag on each other as usual. I've taken up cocktails and sitting on beaches, in either order. A gravitational wave passed but we were too drunk to notice at the time. Apparently two big black holes ran into each other so we must have really been three ( or more ) sheets to the wind to have missed that. Also we've been watching rockets take off and sometimes land. Ummmm .... what else .... in the USA they are getting excited about who will be their new Head NumbNut ..... DownUnda we've swapped yet another one into The Top Job. Of course : E@H has found thirteen new flashy pulsars from the gamma-ray paddock. We're running work units as we speak that have really good odds at finding wobbling neutron stars.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Hmm, never heard of wobbling neutron stars before. Have they been at the cooking sherry?

No, they are just like that normally. Anyone for cappuccino & lemon sherbet cream rolls ? :-)

The prepfold has a much higher signal-to-noise ratio this morning. I feel a detection coming on ...

Cheers, Mike.

I'll pass on the cappuccino,

I'll pass on the cappuccino, but the cream roll sounds interesting.

Careful, it is Death by Sherbet but hey, you only live once.

I'd post a link to the recipe but I can't be bothered with the five minute load of all the server-side ad garbage they throw onto pages these days. Broadband is giving a wider and deeper sludge channel c/w the old dial-up. Remember 56K modems ? Plus if I ever meet someone who claims to be a Shockwave developer I will kill them. Yes, I actually will. Slowly and with intervals for loading of further torture instruments, leaving the high voltage on while I ponder whether to kill the unresponsive process. That sort of thing. On the up side I found a Chrome plug-in that hides the comments under YouTube clips. What a win that is ! :-)

You see I groaned and fell off my chair last week while reading a YouTube comment thread about SpaceX and the topic of Neil Armstrong. Neil had cut Elon Musk real deep with remarks about Elon's rocketry program. Anyway one commenter posted a mere one month ago wondering why Neil Armstrong hadn't apologised* for his previous comments given SpaceX's recent successes ! :-((

Cheers, Mike.

* Hint. Neil died four years ago. That may explain his lack of interest in current events. Why don't these posters just simply write "I am an utter moron who needs to get out more" and leave it at that ? That would certainly Save My Time .... I am actively looking for other internet rubbish blockers. Content Is King. Any suggestions ? :-)
