Hello! Hope everyone is doing

Hello!

Hope everyone is doing ok. Just doing a shout-out to everyone in this café.

I have came back to BOINC after many-many years and discovered only now that SETI@Home is no more. So I have now started working on Einstein. I just crossed the 1M mark, so I am also buying a round.

Also, Moore's law still seems somewhat applicable. I did 1M in my first 2 weeks now. The last time I was active (granted, that was 2012 or so) I did 40k in a year... I am now wondering if my computer was even on...

Take care all!

Lex

After taking a look at your system I would say you are probably running a considerably more powerful system )both CPU and GPU) than you were the last time.

@GWGEORGE007 Thanks! @TOM

@GWGEORGE007 Thanks!

@TOM M That I am. I managed to secure a GPU at not too crazy a price before the market crashed/exploded (depending on your point of view). Good for gaming (FS2020 anyone?) and crunching.

Take care!

It's good you are okay!!! Do you get to keep the deer or do the local police take it to a homeless shelter to feed them? My County will do either depending on what the person that killed it wants to do with it.

I don't know. I didn't ask and they didn't tell. :)  I hope it did end up at a local food bank.  Our homeless shelter says to take donations to the Food Bank rather than try to give them to the shelter directly.

Oh my! Glad to hear you're ok! The biggest I ever hit was a duck and even that was quite a collision (granted, it was on the highway and I was doing 120 kmh, but still). Can the car still be repaired?

The insurance adjustor and the body shop haven't had time to weigh in. If it is repairable all I have to do is cover the deductable.

I'm in the same place, waiting for Insurance Adjuster to look at the photos and then I send the paperwork to my local body shop to get my own accident fixed....I was backing up looking out the left hand mirror and ran into a mailbox with the right rear fender...smh!!! I have a fricking backup camera but am old school and like using my mirrors but didn't check the right side one often enough!!! The mailbox could be almost as expensive as fixing the rear fender and taillight though, it's a cast iron bracket, with fancy scroll work, that holds the mailbox I bent and that pulled the screws out of the holes in the cast iron vertical pipe that that fancy scroll bracket is bolted too. Fortunately I have 'collision' or something like that, my wife takes care of that stuff, and said all I should have to pay for is the deductible and then send the checks to both companies to get everything fixed.
