I have not seen or heard of any yet, but with the anticipation building I thought it might be useful to post this thread, so we can all know when the first S5R3 work units start to come thorough, and what we think of them! ;)

Comments on First S5R3 Work Units

Well they're out in the wild now. From one of my hosts' Contact Log:

[WU#34783459 h1_0531.65_S5R2__175_S5R3a] needs 97370 seconds on [HOST#828501]; delay_bound is 1209600]; delay_bound is 1209600 (estimated_delay is 2888865.509097)

It looks like they start somewhere between WUID 34781300 and 34781400.

Not an error. We are using the same data set as we used in the S5R2 analysis, although over a somewhat wider bandwidth. This is why I turned off 'host file deletion' a week or so ago.

Interesting :-D so, guys, how big are they? The same as S5R2, since they use the same datafiles? Or different? Any problems so far?
It will probably be a while until I get one myself, unless I'm lucky when I'll reattach my desktop today or tomorrow. But I increased the res share on my laptop a bit aswell, just in case...

I have not started it yet, but it says it will take just under 15 hours. the S5R2 ones (650cr) usually take between 32 and 33 hours on my computer, so it's probably about half the size

Well, for h1_0540.00_S5R2__179_S5R3a_0, which was issued on September 22, the deadline is on October 6, so two weeks for that one.
