A new MacOS X Intel App is available from our Beta Test Page.

The only new feature of this App (compared to the now official 4.42) is the updated BOINC library which contains a few bug fixes. This App should work with the latest BOINC development clients.

Happy testing!

Installed it , runs fine and validates as expected. Any particular BOINC related thing to pay attention to?

I'm just installed the new

I'm just installed the new app. I'm running on BOINC 5.10.45 (I know, not the version you want tested). However, the Tasks tab lists the application as version 4.44 instead of 4.48. Otherwise, it's running fine.

PS. Bikeman: how do you get your signature graphics to appear on the same line?

Hi! Hmm, nothing special,

Hi!

Hmm, nothing special, I just type the stuff without any intermediate line brakes and blanks

(Replace curly braces by [ and ] respectively, of course.

As for the app, I guess I should try a 6.2.x BOINC as well.

Reason I asked was I had tried that and it still put my individual and team stats on top of each other. Oh well.

As far as the app goes, it's

As far as the app goes, it's working well. I have had several work units finish and validate without any problems. Looks like you solved whatever bedeviled the previous beta app with respect to BOINC 5.10.45.

Thanks.

I was actually more worried about the 6.x Clients. Any news from that?

I waited until a CPDN model

Message 81914 in response to message 81913

I waited until a CPDN model finished before switching to BOINC 6.2.6. Just switched this morning and have two WUs in progress. So far, so good. I'm still curious as to why the app is still listed in the Tasks tab as 4.44 instead of 4.48.

That is a BOINC "oddity". The tasks are listed with the version of the app that was the current one when the task was downloaded, even if it is crunched by a different version because of an updat ein the meantime.

Actually, I installed 4.48 on

Message 81916 in response to message 81915

Actually, I installed 4.48 on 27 May. So all the tasks I'm now running should be 4.48. In addition, the app is listed as 4.48 in the task details pages of my crunched work units. BOINC, though, insists on calling it app 4.44 in the tasks tab.

I've now had two work units (task ID 98989476 and task ID 98958061) finish and validate using BOINC 6.2.6 and app version 4.48. The rest are pending. No problems so far.

Sorry, that seems to be a bug in the app_info.xml.
