Are there any problems apparent from this BOINC messages log? I think it's working OK, but I see an error message (in red colored text) and it says "using einstein_S5R3 version 444".. is that OK?

There's nothing wrong. It just means that app. 4.04 is not in the E@H folder. It's basically a harmless message, as missing 4.04 does not affect crunching at all. There's a post somewhere on the message boards that gave a more detailed explanation.
There is a file tag for the old 4.04 App in app_info.xml. Without this tag the client would delete the 4.04 App and all tasks assigned to 4.04 will error out when switching from 4.04. With this tag present everybody that no longer uses 4.04 will get this message that's actually just a warning. I think the latter is the better alternative.
Been running 4.48 with the 6.2.8 boinc beta for a couple of days and no problems. 10 successful completions. It looks good, and getting great performance from my Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66 (not the Core 2 Duo).
