Anyone else getting lots of download errors?

My two comps started doing this about 15:00 UTC today.

My host 1058561 starting spitting out these errors today as well. None of my others hosts are having issues. The strange thing is, downloads from my other boinc projects are very slow, but they are not being aborted. Transfers using wget and sftp are still at normal speeds. No errors on the network interface, restarted named and boinc but the problem is still there.

I'm also seeing this problem

I'm also seeing this problem on two of my three systems, all running MacOS X 10.5.2. The problem seems to have started on the 13th, doesn't seem to be related to application version as I'm running 4.10 on one of the systems and 4.22 on the other. Looks like the new workunit generator might have an issue

Wing - your running Linux,

Wing - your running Linux, Pete - your running Mac OS X and I'm running Vista.

Pretty safe to say not platform related then.

After being off for 9 hours both my Einstein boxes are still playing up.

I'm going to empty the cache on one in about 30 mins and try detatch/reattach.

I'll post result here.

No one else posting these problems or are they just not being seen yet?

All my boxes have now switched to work from the new generator - no problem seen with downloads.

I'm in the UK - what geographic locations are having problems? I'm wondering whether there's a problem distributing data files to one or more of the download mirror sites (MIT Ligo was down within the last hour).

I'm in the UK as well.

Have just received two LHC wu's on one of the boxes, so just Einstein affected.
Looking at some of the wu's I've had problems with does not really point to anything as some show completed and returned since I started having problems, a few also show "compute error" rather than "download error.

Have just tried "resetting

Have just tried "resetting project" to no avail. In the meantime this box has completed two very short LHC WU's with no problems.

Something strange going on - think I'll just leave Einstein for a few hours and check back later.

Edit- Richards theory sounds good - End edit

I am also in The UK and have two boxes running fine and two that cannot download Einstein wu's. One of the failed boxes has now been switched to crunch Cosmology and is downloading and running without any problems. So I do not think it is the mirror, Boinc or the coms.

This all started yesterday (Wednesday)when I put a new box on. It also co-incides with a shed load of automatic XP updates from Microsoft, but not sure if that is relevent.

With Regards

Same errors here on Linux and

Same errors here on Linux and Windows, problem is showing up on new machines as well as those which have been running fine. Download failure is always "file not found" and could be application or data.

Have set all machines to "no new work" to save trashing work.
