I messed with my preferences and now the program has stopped processing data on my computer. i set the prefs to some logical settings (i thought) but i still am not having any luck. is there any way to reset my prefs to a default? Or, alternatively, how do i make it "go" again.

Look under the BOINC "Activity" menu and make sure you have not selected "Suspend" inadvertently. (i.e. Make sure either "Run always" or "Run based on preferences" is selected.) Also, make sure you have not suspended Einstein (under the "Projects" tab).

I "snoozed" BOINC from the

I "snoozed" BOINC from the System Tray icon by right-clicking, etc. When I "unsnoozed", activity stays suspended unless I check "Run always" from the Activity menu. If I select "Run based on preferences", activity suspends again. I checked my preferences & the "run when PC is idle for 3 minutes" setting is there, but I cannot unsuspend activity. How can I get BOINC to runn normally again?

The way the snooze feature

The way the snooze feature works is it suspends when you say Snooze. When you unsnooze it, it stays suspended for 1 hour afterwards. Althought I have seen this not unsuspend itself before. I think that the next version is supposed to fix those small issues.

In any case the Client should

In any case the Client should write a message why it is suspending a Task or the whole work. Browsing the messages for the last one containing "suspending" should give you a clue what is going on.

unless i miss read that, or mis interpreted it.. you have it set to only run when the pc is idle for 3 minutes. and trying to get it to work while your useing the pc? if your useing the pc, its not idle... you might wonna change that setting to "no" so it will run even when your useing the pc... boinc backs out of the way when you need the pc,,

if i misread or misunderstood the above quote, then just ignore my post :)
