I always get small ones as well atm. At first, I thought it might have to do with my CPU being not exactly one of the fastest out there... but now I'm quite sure it depends on the data file you've downloaded. You know, one data file is good for lots of WUs, and if your's only contains small WUs that's all you'll get until you download the next data file. I'm not 100% sure this is correct but it seems logical to me.
Yes, that is of course right ;-) although it probably depends on personal taste which one you consider to be "good" or "bad" luck...

I also read that but I assume it is more based on return time that actual speed of computer. My P3, off for maintenance as a fan has gone very noisy, when I find time, seems to have done nothing but long units. So I guess a slow computer that is on 24/7 will be classed as faster than a fast computer only on for a few hours each day.

I have some computers get all small units while others get all big. Some computers get small and big.
I think it's just luck of the draw.
