Here's a result to consider:

http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/10252514

Don't know if this is a case where the project is now rejecting results from the prototypes, but if not may show why we were asked to stop using them.

This is just a single _invalid_ result, the reason might be whatever.
All others are still valid and accepted:
results

And there are a lot of people still not using the official app.
I wonder how they can be so fast with installing Akos's patches and now don't have any more eye on this forum.

This smells like purpose.

Looking at your results it looks as of you are still using the optomized applicatins. Please read This message.

Yes a lot of people get a good running one and have not been back to the boards, may take a while for all to find out that they can not use the optomized applicatins.

Agreed, anecdotal at best, but he hadn't had any other validation failures, and the other two were stockers. My point is there may be other valid concerns beyond just not having been given an official blessing.

LOL, yes, never underestimate the "selective" post reading skills of DC volunteers! :-)

I'm sorry, but you are wrong. ;)
Only my small Linux box is still crunching for E@H, all other host run for SIMAP. The X2 has still some WUs in cache, but I'll wait till I read an official statement here, before I kill them.
Anyway there is no app_info.xml and no patched app on this host anymore. ;)

I think this is a little blue-eyed. People who installed a patched app are for shure permanently looking if they can download any even faster patch. So to me this looks more like catching the higher credits/day as long as it's possible. :(

Michael

[edit]Btw, I was the one who yelled "ALERT!" in our team-forum.
(German, and time is UTC+2h)

I don't know where you got this stderr_txt from, but it's not from me!
Here is an overview over my hosts and as you can see, only my Linux box has still contact with the E@H project.
So please, if you come up with such words and advises, give me a link to verify.

Ray, The result you're

Ray,

The result you're looking at was posted as a random example. It is not from any of Michael's machines. He hasn't turned in an Einstein result since the 26th.

My error, was thinking it was a link to his, sorry about that.

Too bad there is no way to got the info out to the ones who have not stopped back to the boards. I am sure that many got a patch and have not visited since.

[EDIT]
Since that belongs to Anonymous there is no way of contacting him (or her).

Yes, I pulled the result from another post here in NC where the user was wondering about the validation failure.

Very sorry Michael, thought that was a link to yours, but it is not.
These long ones can really take a long time to run, liked the shorter ones better, but the credit works out the same.
