Hi all,i have set up my older pc for crunching and all i seem to be getting is errors and it completes in about half an hour.the first pc i set up is running fine.this is what it shows :-

Strange - to me this looks like one or more of the xml files in the BOINC directory (client_state.xml, account_*.xml) got broken. I would try to detach and attach again or to re-install BOINC. Which client are you using?

do you keep getting the "No finished file" message? If so then go to "your account" , the general preferences and change the following preference to NO:

Please give me some time to try to remeber. This happened to my win98 machine, and I'm trying to remember the cure. Have you tried rebooting and then simply waiting a while(20min) to see if the B comes back on it's own?

use explorer, and go to C:Program files, boinc, slots and check slots 1,2,3 etc, Open the STDERR file in each. Do you see a message which included the words "no heartbeat"?
