ERRORS

Strange - to me this looks like one or more of the xml files in the BOINC directory (client_state.xml, account_*.xml) got broken. I would try to detach and attach again or to re-install BOINC. Which client are you using?

As your PC's are hidden, what

As your PC's are hidden, what is the PC with which you have problems:

Operating system?
Quantity of RAM?
Speed of processor?
Available space on Hard disk?

do you keep getting the "No finished file" message? If so then go to "your account" , the general preferences and change the following preference to NO:

Leave applications in memory while preempted?
(suspended applications will consume swap space if 'yes') no j

This has been a problem on Win98 and ME

Please give me some time to try to remeber. This happened to my win98 machine, and I'm trying to remember the cure. Have you tried rebooting and then simply waiting a while(20min) to see if the B comes back on it's own?

use explorer, and go to

use explorer, and go to C:Program files, boinc, slots and check slots 1,2,3 etc, Open the STDERR file in each. Do you see a message which included the words "no heartbeat"?
