It is of no concern. Soon the Rebellion will be crushed and young Skywalker will be one of us! Your work here is finished, my friend. Go out to the command ship and await my orders.

Sadly and shockingly, the mods not only (1)explicitly sanctioned but (2)participated in a flame war/flamebait fest in (3)Rocky's Cafe`, a bit of "holy ground" as it were. Three strikes in one fell swoop. Inexcuseable. That was the last straw for me, though I'll keep one rig going 1/2 time on SETI just to keep my foot in the door RAC-wise.

What a cryin' shame.

Hi Jim,

I saw the post you made at the time and I thought it was very good. I nearly copied it and put it in it's own thread. Try to look at what happened in Rocky's as the lancing of a boil. Maybe now the healing can begin.

(although saying that I haven't read the boards over there today, but it was very peaceful overthere yesterday.)

Anyway, stay here in the the Einstein retreat to you feel ready to come home. We'll be waiting for you.

I thought the flame war in Rockys was the final straw.
I have had words with the mods about it, but I'm sorry to say I'm not too happy with the response..........
Also - ref the article that has been published about Rosetta. That article was the result of the journo going onto the Rosetta cafe and asking questions. The answers she received were all civil. http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=1543 God only knows what she would have made of the bitch-fest that is SETI cafe!!!

Beach Bum I don't think that you changed your resources to einstein because of the so called clique, be fair mate! When did any of the cafe crew offend you?

Monday

I have been offended by the crew over there more than once. If you look back thruogh my stats history you will see I have been pulling machines for a couple months now. But with the release of Enhanced, and the faulty app,(ie hanging and looping), the censorship by the mods, and the outright attack on yet another person that has put a lot into the project there. I finally called it quits all together. There will be no more donation, no more use of my machines for SETI.

You just don't go from cranking 4K RAC a day to shutting down for nothing.

And as far as my resources. I didn't bring the majority of my machines to Einstein. Most of them are on other projects.
