I am starting to feel badly for those chrunchers who use the official release, because I see more and more 2 out of the 3 validated results using an optimized client. So the official release chrunchers are (unfairly) losing a lot of legitimate credit. Let's hope E@h releases an official optimized version soon.
Haven't seen very many complaining about 1200+ points/day granted on a single cpu, have we? Don't rush it too soon :)

I'd like to add to that. You'll see those beaucoup credit/day figures drop like a stone when the optimized becomes official, and your work devalued by 75%. Talk about runaway inflation! Enjoy the bubble while it lasts, friend.

I'll let it run overnight to get a better average, but I might have to put this system back on S39L.
Update: the overnight results are more promising...
"Pure" D40 WUs seem to be running 6100 secs down to as low as 5820 secs. I'll let it stay running and keep an eye on it.
Generally, it seems that 64bit CPUs do not gain much benefit from D40, while 32bit CPUs run faster between 5 and 20% (in comparison to S39(L)). Would you agree?
The D40 application has knocked my a64 3700 to under an hour on the big WUs (3407s compared to 3650s with the S39L). At first there wasn't much of a noticable improvement, but after a clean reboot I left it over night and the seconds started to shave off.
Thanks akosf!

My is showing a noticable speedup on the big WUs. Smaller ones are lost in the noise.
~53m, scaled to 58m equivilant at the 2.4gig I was running previously. S39L and 2.4 ran ~63m.
The gain my older athlon got going from C36 to D40 was massively larger 130m to 90m.
