It is my current assumption that the new tasks will still have a small CPU portion even in the new split arrangement and probably wont require much change of your system configuration.
Is what you assumed above match what you are seeing with the new app?

yeah pretty much. tasks are slower by a small margin. about the same amount of time that the toplist calculation takes since there's two of those instead of one. plus maybe a little bit of overhead in stopping and starting

i'm getting a steady stream of new BuB tasks and all of my caches full. despite the generator telemetry showing Disabled, work is still being generated and distributed.
Something is wrong, then, because I haven't had any BuB tasks and on hosts that have been begging for O3 work, the last time any of them got something that wasn't a re-issue was 2025-01-22 11:37:07 UTC (15 hours ago at time of writing). Everything received since then have been re-issues of existing Bu tasks.
I recall this sort of thing often happens to me whenever there's a major shift in work generation and distribution...

no, not anything wrong on your end. probably the plan class at the project not setup correctly.
you could probably work around it if you wanted to by downloading all the required files manually and setting the app up via anonymous platform. or just wait a day for Bernd to fix it.

If possible, I think the work generator needs to be re-enabled before worrying about the validator.

looks like a problem with the AMD "ati" plan class. Nvidia cards are getting work.
your scheduler log shows the error: https://einsteinathome.org/host/12803029/log

Yes, I'd been noticing the complaints about WU 'too new' (and 'old') but don't really know what that means. I presume it's not something at my end.
