You´re partially right. It takes some time up to an hour to get a fresh task, as I see in my long BOINC-Manager report. Most time, I get a fresh task within 2 minutes. But that don't bother me, as I have at all time a buffer of about 30 fresh tasks in stock on my computer. So, I can crunch continuously without interruptions.

I notice some new O3 applications listed on the Applications page, but they don't appear to be in use yet. Any news on what they may be for?
Interested to hear Bernd's report on what is changed with the new app, if they are for the current WU's or new WUs, and what if any other supplemental files are needed for this app.
As we did with the previous O3ASHF search, we will split the workunts (here: 1Hz) in half (here: .5 Hz) effectively halving memory requirement, to get more GPUs to run O3AS. This means that the tasks will again show the previous on-off-on-off (GPU-CPU-GPU-CPU) behavior. The new app version executables are identical to the respective previous ones, we just need new accompanying config files for the new tasks.
When will those tasks start being sent? Will we be able to differentiate them in the file name?
if you didn’t need a new app to go from the old O3ASHF with GPU-CPU-GPU-CPU behavior to normal GPU-CPU on O3ASBu (we’re all still on the same cuda-2 apps), why the need to change the apps now? What else was changed? Or do you need to push a new app version just to change the config files?
