Looks like we can't talk about 99% of what goes on in the world. Could a maniac power hungry admin list what we can talk about in here? This is worse than being at school. Deleting this post only goes to prove my point.

There is no list per se.
For moderation purposes there are two main aspects of a post, intent and content, and moderation applies to both. The guide for posters is seen just below the forum listing at Forums | Einstein@Home (einsteinathome.org), which I reproduce here :
Please be responsible in what you write and do not create posts which are offensive or insulting. Offensive posts or threads may be deleted by forum moderators without warning or discussion. Do not respond to offensive postings. Click on the "report" button at the bottom of the post to call it to the attention of the moderators.
We also ask that you keep all discussion on the message boards related to Einstein@Home or BOINC with the small exception of the Science message board where you are free to discuss anything relevant to the underlying science. Participants interested in broader discussions should post to unofficial forums for Einstein@Home.
There are a few more specialised rules/examples :
Moderation may also occur for :
We are not obligated to discuss any particular moderation decisions in the forums. However if a poster feels aggrieved by any moderation decision then kindly PM us and we will likely respond.
Again, if you think a post is deserving of moderation then report it and we will give that request all due care and attention.
Overall, we expect posters to have capacity for mature behaviour and communication with especial care to interpret one's own posts from the point of view of others who may be reading.
Cheers, Mike.

So, the threads which have been removed violate nothing above. Playful banter, not outright rudeness, "silly American" is not rude. Nothing sexual, etc. They were in the cafe so "disintegrated into pointless argument" doesn't apply. So I guess the real rule is "we delete anything anyone doesn't like". I wonder what I can report and have removed. Bound to be something I "object" to, or maybe I'm not a grassing childish twit.
Oh Mike, you replied to "could a maniac power hungry admin"....

As E@H is a project that is contributed to by people from all known countries on the planet, 197 of them at last count, then I think diplomatic is probably the best word that describes the conduct that we aim for. The Cambridge dictionary defines this as 'acting in a way that does not cause offence'. At E@H the onus is definitely upon the writer of a post to achieve that. Neutral expressions and less idiom can assist here. Analysis of language is the only real tool we have to gauge that. Our mindset is to support those who subsume themselves to the group goal of E@H : to perform citizen science in the area of gravitational astrophysics.
Cheers, Mike.

You just don't get it, do you? You have to be DIPLOMATIC or else you'll be removed... permanently.
And please read Mike's post again!!! https://einsteinathome.org/content/list-acceptable-topics#comment-213672
If you don't like what we at Einstein expects of you, then go do it somewhere else.

Freedom of speech is immutable. Deleting things you don't like is pathetic. And they ought to be nicer to volunteers.
Besides, this is the first forum I've ever known which objects to asterisked swearwords. It's getting beyond a joke, pretty soon it won't be allowed to say "you're incorrect" incase someone has a nervous breakdown over it. Now what was that phrase we used at primary school beginning sticks and stones?

I wish people on fora like this would act more like real sport(wo)men. The moderators are the referees. And it never looks good to insult/shout at anyone on the playing field, not your fellow players and certainly not at the referees. If in doubt, the referees decide on the rules. If you are not OK with that basic rule, then this is not your playing field. Nuff said.

Acceptable discourse in the engine room of a warship in times of war is not acceptable discourse in polite civil international society with all genders and ages present. If you don't know this by your age ... well, people are going to form opinions about you.
