Another user here Tigers_Dave runs MacOS, and there is no BRP7 application for Mac so he can only run FGRPB1G on his systems. So anyone with a Mac can only run FGRPB1G. Also BRP7 on Nvidia requires at least compute capability 3.0, even for the OpenCL app. It won’t run on GPUs for Fermi and older. So anyone with these older GPUs still running will have to crunch FGRPB1G. These are the specific limitations preventing some users from running the new BRP7 campaign. But also fair to note that these people are the minority.
Regarding lack of gravitational wave work. That campaign completed many months ago. There hasn’t been any GW work since, and not for the foreseeable future. BRP7 is the new focus.
My "fastest" cruncher (~3 M credits/day) is a MacMini (MacOS Monterey with a hex-core i5 and two RX 6800 XT eGPUs and two RX Vega 64 eGPUs). I ceased crunching E@H GRP tasks late last week because I wasn't getting enough tasks to keep the rig busy.
This morning I resumed crunching E@H GRP tasks this morning and it looks like I am getting enough work (downloading ~42 tasks/hour) to keep the cruncher running full-bore (completing 36 tasks/hour). I will continue to monitor this rig to make sure that this balance between downloading and completing persists.
Regardless, my most heartfelt thanks to all of you who have been crunching more BRP tasks and fewer GRP tasks! I wish that option was readily available to me!

Out of curiosity what other project(s) did your run while you were away?
OK. It was hoped that gpr#1 tasks would start seeing an uptick in availability "after" the end of October.
Its November 1st.
Anyone seeing an uptick?

this 10-day history of the FGRPB1G tasks in progress indicates a very slight reversal in the trend. or possibly a leveling/bottoming as the hosts/server reaches equilibrium. yesterday for the first time in ~2 weeks, we saw the "peak" reach higher than the previous day's peak and same with today. and the past 2 days, the rate in which the tasks in progress climbs (the slope) is a bit higher than previously observed.
note that the project seems to be turning off WU generation/distribution about every 20hrs, as indicated by the sharp drops on that interval. maybe some backend maintenance activity. it always lasts about 1hr.
maybe a small change for the better, but not a full recovery. fast hosts will still not be able to maintain constant work, though the threshold for what is "too fast" might have been raised.

I ran Amicable Numbers - one of the few BOINC projects supporting AMD GPUs under MacOS/OS X. In fairness to BOINC projects (and as noted by Ian&Steve C.), these rigs are a minority of BOINC crunchers. Indeed, I am very grateful that E@H continues to support these rigs. I have been crunching on behalf of E@H for more than 12 years and would like to continue supporting the project's goals. :-)

So, the uptick reported by Ian&Steve C. has not impacted my total number of pending tasks. However, as predicted by Ian&SteveC., my fastest cruncher (max capacity of ~ 3M credits/day) is now getting enough tasks to work at maximum capacity.
Many thanks to Ian&Steve C. for his analysis of GPR#1 task availability. Let's hope the trend continues!

what's the rationale for tracking pendings? pendings are tasks completed, returned, and waiting for validation. A decrease in pendings means more wingmen are validating your work, which is generally a good thing. There can be a lot of variables influencing the pendings so unless all validation stops and the pending tasks start to increase a LOT, I wouldn't worry about them too much. do you mean to track your "In Progress" numbers? That's more relevant to the issue at hand.
We still get a few a day mixed in with the Meercat work units. Can't say it was much of an "uptick" but they still exist. I am very curious how many more there will be.

I don't know but my gpu's are still being fed okay, I have just over 1800 in progress across 15 pc's all with a 1.5 day cache, this is down about 200 or so from my week ago cache size which isn't significant. I only run one task at a time per gpu so that could be helping me.
