The other reason besides this being an ARM cpu is a couple of years ago I almost bought this motherboard.

Then I read how much Linux details it was going to take to setup.

And I looked at my beginner level skill(s) in Linux and decided it would be a bad idea.

This is why I am pleased with this a specific how to.

Some of the details make it look like you MIGHT be able to run an x86/Nvidia gpu task inside one of it's "vm/driver shell/whatever the heck they are (in naming convention they resemble WINE).

It has just occured to me

It has just occured to me that out of context arm crunching could be heavy duty arm exercise.

There is the Adlink developer

There is the Adlink developer box based on the Ampere Altra. Note its a reduced speed chip, the Q80 usually runs at 3GHz but their ones seem to be 2.6GHz. See https://www.adlinktech.com/Products/Computer_on_Modules/COM-HPC-Server-Module/Ampere_Altra_Developer_Platform?lang=en

Then there is Gigabyte making a bunch of machines based on the Ampere Altra, but they all seem to be rack mounts.
