The complete string was SUPPOSED to be:

doctor --> lawyer --> indian-chief

I know but thought thief was a good synonym for lawyer

The link was: Rooster,

The link was: Rooster, Cogburn, Marion and then someone posted Indiana instead of Morrison which is John Wayne's REAL name. YES John Wayne was Jewish and his grandson, Tommy Morrison, was supposed to have a chance to fight for the Boxing Heavy Weight Championship of the World Title except tests revealed Tommy had Aids from IV usage in the past and was disqualified from fighting in the US and his last fight was overseas which he lost.

A possible link between Marion and Indiana... Marion was the Librarian in The Music Man, which was sited in <Gary> Indiana.

A bit of a stretch maybe... since there actually IS a Marion Indiana.

I was thinking about the town

I was thinking about the town Marion in Indiana. The company where I work, had a big customer there in the 80's and 90's. A television picture tube factory. http://wikimapia.org/11166233/Thompson-Consumer-Electronics-RCA

Man I hate Linux

Man I hate Linux sometimes!!!! I have Linux Mint on an old Dell laptop and it won't stop downloading updates which I could care less about as ALL the laptop does is Boinc and NOTHING else. I had a 120gb ssd drive in the machine and of course the updates filled the harddrive until there was less than 1gb of free space on it and then it would stop crunching, I went thru the process of deleting the files for over a week as a Climate Prediction task finished but yesterday it finished so today I put a 320gb platter drive in it and Linux Mint failed to load, TWICE so I tried Gecko Linux and it also refused TWICE!! I decided it was the harddrive that could be bad so I loaded Gecko Linux on a 250gb platter driver and it loaded just fine, I got Boinc installed and rebooted to start crunching and it booted into a Command Line and gave me not hints on how to load the gui version, sorry I'm a Windows guy so command lines in Linux are a pain that I prefer to avoid. So I loaded a July version of Linux Mint and it worked just fine until I clicked to check for updates, 1.5 hours LATER I have a working updated to the latest, Ausgust 2021, version of Linux Mint happily crunching along. A quick 1 to 2 hour process took me over 5 hours!!!

The laptop is not fast enough to benefit from an SSD drive but I have a small stack of 120gb ones and Linux Mint only takes about 45 gb to fully load including Boinc and all the projects and tasks.

The current words are

The current words are 'electromagnetic' and 'pulse' which made me ask an old US Military friend if the US had a mini EMP weapon, ie 4 square block size, to drop on the Taliban and put theirs butts back on horseback for the foreseeable future!! He refused to answer so I still don't know and haven't seen or heard of one being used at this point.

Highly unlikely to be used

Highly unlikely to be used even if we have one. Why show your hand on an insignificant target like them... even if you just got bit.

Toys are for playing with and sometimes letting your enemy actions have consequences, places like that are exactly where Militaries used to do things so they never had to use them in anger for real.

Speaking of which I saw a thing on a show I sometimes watch called Ancient Aliens that the guy theorized the USMilitary was boring tunnels with a plasma ray and brought out a 1970's REAL patent of one based on a nuclear reaction spitting out a plasma beam. So he set-up an experiment with a standard hand help rock drill and it 30 minutes to go thru a piece of 3 inch rock, next they brought out a plasma cutting torch and put a hole thru an identical piece of rock in under 10 seconds. They guy who did the plasma cutting was a geologist and said the rock was from about 1000 feet down inside the Earth and was the kind that down there. The Ancient Alien guys then took that story and ran with it saying the USMilitary has tunnels running throughout the US which seems a bit 'out there'. The plasma cutter just melted the rock though, the guy turned it on and it was thru the rock the rock disappeared in a very small amount of smoke. This page suggests you need rock to conduct electricity or the plasma torch will cut off, on the tv show the guy held the rocks in a metal vise so that would solve that problem to make the tv show. https://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/general/can-plasma-cutter-cut-soild-rock-381068/

Sometimes, secrets are for keeping.

Imagine if, after proving such a thing was practical, someone decided to build one and set it off in downtown NYC or DC???
