    I think there is an "IOMMU" setting in your bios that effects if your VM can "see" the Video card.  Maybe that would allow the VM to use it?

    don't bother confusing him. not only will this not work since his BIOS likely doesn't even have this option, and I'm not aware of ANY hypervisor that runs inside a Windows host that is capable of GPU pass through.

    but you can't pass through a GPU that is being used by the Host OS anyway.

      I have a hunch that GPU GW tasks failures are more likely to occur while I watch YouTube videos, mostly concerts and operas. Today I watched the Mozart  "Das Zauber Flote" and Donizetti "L'Elisir d'amore". I shall not do it again and watch what happens.

        I looked and it appears he has a AMD cpu.  So I suspect he has IOMMU.  I have no opinion on anything else.

          Perhaps Youtube used some GPU RAM up?

          If this page takes an hour to load, reduce posts per page to 20 in your settings, then the tinpot 486 Einstein uses can handle it.

              I looked at your system list.  IOMMU is specific to the Amd Bios.  Since you don't appear to have an Amd cpu that uses socket Am4 then you are unlikely to have ever seen it.

              Intel does have its equivalent but calls it something else.  (VT-io?)  Just like Intel says "HyperThreading" and Amd uses another term (SMT) for the same thing.

                Oops!  I have a habit of skim reading.  I thought you wrote "AMD GPU", and wondered what the GPU manufacturer had to do with the motherboard.

                I think I've seen something like VT-io on half my boards (which are all Intel CPUs).  Some just have one setting to turn VT on, some have a few more underneath that.  I tend to turn them all on, assuming they might be useful for LHC with its virtualbox usage.

                    What is the top producing system (RAC) that is processing Gravity Wave gpu tasks?

                    Please exclude https://einsteinathome.org/host/12832207 from this discussion.  Its current RAC is mostly Pulsar Search#1.

                      FYI I switched that system to run a mix of gamma ray and gravity wave. It’s not pure GW anymore. The RAC needs time to stabilize since it just came off GPUGRID
