For projects like Einstein@home that don't have users share stats by default, the stats at stats sites are limited...
  https://boinc.netsoft-online.com/e107_plugins/boinc/bp.php?project=2
If I go to the "server status" page
  https://einsteinathome.org/server_status.php
I see many more users than what are listed at stats sites.

My question is, are the "Total Granted Credit" and "Recent Average Credit" stats also limited at 1st link above?
    Total Granted Credit    453,665,200,813
    Recent Average Credit    363,852,207
Or are the actual numbers much higher?

Maybe I just answered my own

Maybe I just answered my own question. If I go to
  https://einsteinathome.org/community/stats/users
and add up the RAC of the top 100, I get approximately 330,000,000, which is basically the RAC listed at stats sites.

So I think all stats are limited by people not sharing their stats. It's a shame because I'd like the real numbers to compare to.

I finally found the proof I

I finally found the proof I was looking for! Look at the 2nd figure here (total credit recent months):
  https://www.boincstats.com/stats/5/project/detail/credit
The slope changes after 2018-12, and the new total is less than before!

The short and basic answer

The short and basic answer goes something like this: The privacy laws in Europe changed. Since Einstein@home is a part of several international organizations, Einstein@home had to require users to opt-in if they wanted their private data shared.

The stats will never be accurate again, unless for some reason everyone at Einstein@home is automatically opted-in once again.  Some reasons they will never be the same again: People have left Einstein@home, some may run Einstein@home and have no clue cause they don't care about stats...or want their privacy. I'm sure some have left the universe...if you know what I mean...and will never be able to change there settings.

My stats say the highest position I reached is 28...it's not accurate.  I was at 70'sump'n when the opt-in started and I went straight up to 28 in one day.  One stat that didn't change is I'm #1 in my class, and BETREGER better remember that...lol.

Even if you are #1, 2, 3, 4,

Even if you are #1, 2, 3, 4, 5...etc...in the User Stats... you will never know what your true position in Einstein@home might be! Since privacy laws have been changed... A college, a business, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, may decide to contribute to Einstein@home and bring thousands and thousands of computers online and remain anonymous. Nobody would ever know who is #1 or #6,001...and even right now...nobody knows!

Why can't each project keep

Why can't each project keep track of its "project's total credit" and "project's total RAC" ? This could be legally exported to stats sites or just shown to the public somehow. I understand that BOINC probably didn't foresee these privacy laws, and maybe it's now too late to make this change??? Couldn't each project just add up the stats from even their "hidden" users?

It seems that projects are already doing something like this when they see who is in the top 25%, 5%, and 1% of RAC of active users (those who have received credit in the past 30 days). Or maybe these percentages are actually only for "non-hidden" users? Anyway, they should be made for all users, and maybe each person could be told their exact rank and percentage?!
