OK punters, get yer scribes out ! :-)

We're gunna have a name that DownUnda non-human-being thread. It will comprise of pictures posted by me, followed by questions I will ask.

The usual ( quite arbitrary ) rules apply.

Marks will probably be given for correctness, but definitely for originality and/or humor. Highest score wins after all pictures have been presented with sufficient time to answer. So thinking caps on ya mudguts ! First up :

Much as one has enjoyed

Much as one has enjoyed Kavanagh's post, the Pneumatic-drill-tailed Porch-ripper is not to be laughed at, Sir.

;-)

Re:- your video, Mr Hewson. It was a brief return to Gib before reliable connections permitted an unboken view of it. EPIC! :-) Felicitations to all, wherever they may be.

It's one of robl's squirrels

It's one of robl's squirrels in disguise.  Having fallen off robl's death trap for the 100th time, it decided to migrate down under and check out the pickings at Gromit's place.

Even though it couldn't quite get the knack of birdseed fortress, it's a pretty smart squirrel - just ask robl :-).  After a quick google check, the obvious disguise to get through customs and immigration here was to become a dinki-di Aussie  possum.  The initial plan was for a brushtail possum but the tail was still too much of a give-away.  So a cunning plan for a ringtail possum disguise was born.  It worked a treat.   Just look at how fat it has become from Gromit's luxury dog food dinners on the back porch.

Unfortunately, Gromit has at last woken up as to why his luxury dog food dinners bill has gone through the roof whilst he still feels hungry,  so he set up a camera trap.  Squirrel, realising that the game is up, is about to turn up the heat on Gromit himself.

I think robl should expect to find a re-energised squirrel assaulting fortress birdseed again very shortly.  Now that it has figured out the benefits of having a working ringtail, it should be dinner time all the time at robl's place :-).

Q1: robl's nemesis, which became Gromit's nemesis (with the exchange of a plane ticket ...)
Q2: The spot where the luxury dinners used to be.
Q3: Microwaves (it's only revenge that's best served cold ...)
Q4: Originally Gromit's dinners but now Gromit himself.
Q5: Squirrelous Horribilous Roblae (No downunda friends yet ...)
Q6: Obvious trick question.  You told us 'he' in Q5 so it must be a 'she'.  'She' is now kinda partial to what Gromit is sore about.
Q7: Another obvious trick question.  The answer is 'nothing'. The trick was you said 'If' instead of 'When'.  It's a bit hard for the subject to say anything when your favourite squirrel is taking that epic pic.

(With apologies to both robl and his squirrel.  Gromit can go fend for himself :-).)

Cheers,
Gary.

I'll score you all a bit

I'll score you all a bit later. Apropos of not much, this is why I love autumn :

I believe it to be one of the

I believe it to be one of the Liquidambar species. There are elms down by the river banks, they seem to go mostly a bright yellow. Another tree, I don't know what type, goes a deep/dark red like the color of port wine. No wonder autumn is a favorite time for paint artists. Many of the classic works have trees during autumn.

Cheers, Mike.
