Fantastic!! Don't believe I have seen this type. Its quite interesting. Soon the squirrels and maybe jays will "feast" on this one once the seeds are fully developed. Of course the Red Shoulder Hawk might dine on the squirrels.
The most exquisitely painful whilst beautiful flowering plant I've ever backed into is the moonflower cactus. Again, I'll see if I can find a picture...
Wonderful, but not sure if that is the ultimate flower for me though. 24 hours of blooming time in 2 years?
I'd want my plants to be pretty all year long! The nasty stingers might keep my kids at bay though, increasing the likelihood the plant would survive. Not requiring a lot of water is also a plus that should be noted.
I quite like the pots of miniature roses that you can grow indoors and these miniature orange and lemon trees for a Conservatory. I tried a rather expensive Bonsai once and it died on me in 6 months, thought they were supposed to last years? I still think there is nothing nicer that a bunch of nice fresh cut flowers in a vase, but I know some prefer them to have roots on.
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

My favourites of those were the dwarf teddy bear variety I used to grow. I'll go and see if I can find a picture...
edit: I've found some but I'm being interrupted. Maybe later then...

A whole self-supporting

A whole self-supporting ecosystem. What could be better!
I would find it very difficult choosing my most favourite flower - that it is growing is about the only criteria for me.

if they would be in bloom forever and would lack the nasty stings, then perhaps.

Not sure if this link will work, but if it does, and you hover your mouse over the equivalent picture above (which was the first thumbnail top left) - you'll get to see it in action :) https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-4388351-stock-footage-moonflower-with-bugs-and-raindrops.html
It has the most wonderful scent I think I've ever sniffed.

Another night blooming cactus. Grew it from a cutting.
